Heather Holley, Jun 17, 2024

The Chattanooga Police Department needs the community's help identifying the driver in a deadly hit and run on June 8.

CPD responded to the 7200 block of Shallowford Road around 2:30 A.M on reports of a person hit. Officers arrived  to find a woman with life threatening injuries. The 36-year-old was taken to the hospital where she died.

The preliminary investigation found a Ford F-150 was going west on Shallowford Road and hit the woman as she crossed the road. The driver then left the scene.

The truck is a customized Ford F-150 with bronze or gold paint and after-market lighting. CPD says the driver was a Black man who used a cane while waking.

Chattanooga Police ask anyone with information to call 423-698-2525 and ask to speak with a Traffic Investigator.

Chattanooga Area Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for up to $1,000 for the driver's identity.  Call 423-698-3333 with your tip for Crime Stoppers.
